In-person Piano Lessons
Why From Art to Heart?
As we are a nonprofit, our lessons are focused on your child's learning above all else. We keep lessons affordable, flexible, engaging, and personal, we're constantly improving our courses, and trying our best to give you the best experience possible!
More than 4 out of 5 parents would strongly recommend us to another parent. Take a look at our impact here.
Ages: This program is created for children ages 4-15 as an introductory course into piano skills and music theory.
Location: We are offering in-person lessons in the US and Canada only, subject to teacher availability. Online lessons are available worldwide; if you are interested in online lessons, click here.
Cost: $10 / lesson
A one-time payment is expected before the first lesson to cover the entire season (11 lessons or less). If you are unable to afford the costs, we will offer a full bursary. For more details regarding bursaries, see our policies page.
Commitment: Lessons are organized into seasons: Spring is Mar. 1 to May 31, Summer is Jun. 1 to Aug. 31, Fall is Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, and Winter is Dec. 1 to Feb. 28. You are committing to the remainder of the season you sign up for (e.g. a student who signed up in January would commit to lessons until Feb. 28). For details on refunds, see our Lesson Policy.
Registration Deadline: None! Sign up whenever you're ready, and you'll be paired with a teacher.
Length per lesson: Lessons occur once a week for 30 minutes in length. Extra lessons each week may be accommodated upon request.
Dates: Class times will fit to your availability, dates will follow our schedule here.
This sounds too good to be true. Free piano lessons? How?
We're a registered nonprofit, so our focus is on you, not profit. We're able to afford this because all of our resources are self-created, and all of our teachers are volunteers looking to impact their community.
A quick note:
Our lessons are taught by qualified and trained high school and university students. Although not taught by professional teachers, this program is designed to be a low-cost, introductory course for students who can't commit either the time or money required for traditional piano programs. With that being said, our administrators and teachers all do our very best to deliver the best program possible, and our teachers' qualifications range from RCM Level 8 (diploma equivalent) to RCM LRCM (Master's degree equivalent). Our teachers have performed on stages such as Carnegie Hall and Massey Hall, and won several international competitions.
