Rules

• The contest is open to all ages, skill levels, and locations.

• All forms of music are accepted, this can be any type of instrument or singing.

• Entries must be submitted before the deadline of February 28th, 2023, at 11:59 pm MDT.

• Submissions may be either played or sung individually or in a group.

• All entries must comply with the prompt of “classical, romantic era music” - submissions will be disqualified if it is deemed offensive or if it does not comply with the contest rules and prompt.

• Participants will be judged based on dynamics and phrasing, rhythm, note accuracy, and musicality.

• The submission must be taken in one take, no cuts are allowed, and the participant must be fully visible from above the waist in the video.

• The length restriction is a maximum of 3 minutes and videos must be submitted in MP4, MOV, WMV, or AVI format.

• You will be required to specify any instruments played and the title and composer of the piece chosen to be performed.

• Registration is free and participants may only enter once for the contest.

• Participants must provide their name and contact information for either themselves if they are over 18 or of their parents/guardians if they are not.

• From Art to Heart Society will contact all winners and their parents/guardians before announcing the results.

• Any submissions not following the rules stated above will result in disqualification.
