ART Lessons
Why From Art to Heart?
As we are a nonprofit, our lessons are focused on your child's learning above all else. We keep lessons affordable, flexible, engaging, and personal, we're constantly improving our courses, and trying our best to give you the best experience possible!
Additionally, if you are unable to afford the costs of art lessons, we will provide you with a full bursary that covers all associated costs of lessons, including lesson fees and art supplies, possible through the generous support of the Calgary Youth Foundation, a program of Youth Central.
Art Lesson Information
Beginner Class (5 to 8 years old)
Lessons will be held online with 2-4 students and 1 teacher each. Basic techniques such as drawing with a steady hand, drawing shapes/lines, and perception will be taught. All students will be given the same project to work on (e.g. drawing an apple) to build a certain skill.

Advanced Class (8 to 12 years old)
Lessons will be held online with 2-4 students and 1 teacher each. Students will be given a "theme" for a project (e.g. painted river), and they can choose the specific artwork they produce. The teacher will provide individual support where needed. Depending on student interest, the teacher may also teach a couple of lessons on art history and colour theory.

This sounds too good to be true. Free art lessons? How?
We're a registered nonprofit, so our focus is on you, not profit. We're able to afford this through grants from the Calgary Youth Foundation, and because all of our teachers are volunteers looking to impact their community.
